I often get asked about strength training apps for women: “Which ones actually work?”, “Are they worth the money?” So, I'm excited to share my personal journey with the Simply Strong App. I've been using it for a whole year, and it has truly transformed my body and lifestyle!

As a dietitian, I'm passionate about helping people find sustainable healthy habits. For me, that means a combination of strength training and a balanced, macro-friendly diet. In this review, I'll share how the Simply Strong App helped me achieve just that.

My Fitness Journey Before Simply Strong

Before I found Simply Strong, I struggled to stay consistent with my workouts. I'd try random programs or piece together workouts I found online. I was tired of googling for random workouts to complete whenever I went to the gym.

Not only did it take time, the workouts varied on quality and length. There wasn't any real structure, and I'd often get bored or overwhelmed. I knew I needed a strength-based program that outlined exactly what I needed to do each week to hit all muscle groups. I needed a change.

I then found Madeline Moves through Instagram and signed up for her weekly moves workouts. The app was good, but it had some major drawbacks for me. First, the scheduled 30-minute workouts took me an hour, and that's with the recommended rest period. Same with the 60-minute workouts, those lasted well-over an hour. I'm the type of person that when I schedule something, I expect it to be within the allocated time frame.

The other drawback is there is no structure to her recipes. They are from third-party providers (mostly Instagramers), but they are kind of all over the place, and they are not simple at all. In fact, most of them were unrealistic. That's when I had enough and started looking for a better alternative.

Discovering and Getting Started

I can't recall exactly when, but I mentioned I was looking for a new strength training app on Instagram, and several friends recommended checking out the Simply Strong App. I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did!

For reference, here is the Fit Healthy Macros Instagram account.

What immediately appealed to me was the flexibility. The app offers new workouts every month, and you can choose to work out 3, 4, or 5 days a week. You can also pick between 30-minute or 45-minute sessions. This made it easy to fit into my busy schedule. I opted to start with the 5-day a week, 30 minute workouts.

Simply Strong Workouts: Structure and Effectiveness

Just like the Madeline Moves app, the Simply Strong workouts are muscle-group specific. This means you work your entire body effectively throughout the week. Each muscle group gets the attention it deserves! The workouts are also incredibly efficient.

I love that I can get a great workout done in just 30 or 45 minutes. AND the 30-minute workouts last 30 minutes, and the 45 minute workouts last 45 minutes. I have never done a workout that went over that time frame. This was really big for me!

When I first started, I used lighter weights and took advantage of the modifications. But within a few months, I was noticeably stronger! I started using heavier weights and pushing myself more. This made it really fun for me, and I started to look forward to the workouts!

The Simply Strong app makes it easy to track your progress with its exercise history feature. This allows you to see what you've done in previous workouts and helps you progressively overload. Each exercise comes with a video demonstration and clear written instructions, so you always know the proper form. Plus, most exercises offer modifications, making them suitable for all fitness levels. I love that the workouts are always challenging, but also doable. I always feel accomplished after I complete a workout.

Below, I recorded my screen inside the Simply Strong App – you'll see:

  • Workouts
  • Video form cues
  • Enter dumbbell weights used
  • High protein recipe library
  • and more

The Simply Strong App Nutrition Difference: Recipes and Meal Planning

As a Registered Dietitian, a healthy eating plan is crucial for any fitness program. The Simply Strong App truly excels in this area. The app provides a structured approach to nutrition that complements the workouts perfectly.

The recipes are macro-friendly, high in protein, and packed with nutrient-dense ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Some of my family's favorite meals have come from this app! The Loaded Burger Bowls are a delicious and healthy twist on a classic burger. The Sheet Pan Nachos are a lifesaver for quick and easy weeknight dinners. And the Creamy Turkey and Rice Soup is pure comfort food, perfect for a chilly evening.

The recipes are simple to follow, with minimal steps and ingredients, even if you're not a seasoned cook. They fit perfectly into my dietary needs and goals as a dietitian. They make it easy to hit my protein targets and maintain balanced macros without feeling deprived.

There are new recipes added every month so mealtime never gets boring. One of my favorite features is the ability to print the recipes and weekly meal plans directly from the app. I love having a physical copy to reference while I'm cooking!

ps: Tami Smith (owner of Fit Healthy Macros and the Simply Strong App) provides sample meal plans, which is an amazing value!

My Transformation: Body and Lifestyle Changes

The Simply Strong App has truly transformed my body and my lifestyle. Yes it took a lot of hard work and time, but I always find myself genuinely looking forward to the next workout (I never thought that would be possible)!

After a year, I've lost 10 pounds of stubborn fat that I had been struggling to shed. I've also lost inches all over my body. My waist is smaller, my arms are more defined, and my legs are stronger. I've gained lean muscle, which not only looks great but also makes me feel incredibly strong and empowered.

My clothes fit better, and I actually enjoy shopping for new outfits! But the biggest transformation has been in my consistency and overall well-being. I no longer dread working out or struggle to eat healthily.

This strength training app has helped me create sustainable habits that I genuinely enjoy. I feel more confident, energized, and in control of my health than ever before.

Addressing Common Concerns

I know some people might be hesitant about trying a new fitness app. You might wonder, “What if the workouts are too hard?”

The Simply Strong App is designed for all fitness levels. You can choose your workout days and session length, making it customizable. Plus, you can modify any exercise to make it easier.

Another common concern is equipment. Many workouts can be done with just your body weight. Some use dumbbells or resistance bands which you can get pretty cheap. You might also wonder if you can do the workouts in a gym or at home – it can be done wherever you feel comfortable / have space for working out.

A Dietitian's Seal of Approval

As a Registered Dietitian, I wholeheartedly recommend the Simply Strong App. I love that it combines a well-structured strength training program with a balanced, macro-friendly approach to nutrition. It's a sustainable and healthy way to improve your body composition and overall health.

This isn't about quick fixes or fad diets. It's about building long-term habits. I've recommended this app to many of my clients, and they've experienced amazing results as well. They love the workouts, the delicious recipes, and how user-friendly the app is.

Who is Simply Strong For?

This strength training app is a great fit for many people, but it's a women-driven community (busy women and busy moms). I love that both my husband and I can do the same workouts. He just uses heavier weights! I especially recommend it for busy women and moms who want to lose weight, get fit and build healthy habits for the long term.

The workouts are quick and effective. The recipes are simple and family-friendly. It's also perfect for beginner to intermediate lifters, as well as home workout enthusiasts.

You don't need a lot of space or fancy equipment. If you've struggled with consistency in the past, this app provides the structure and support to help you stay on track and reach your goals.

Cost and Value

The Simply Strong App offers three different monthly pricing options:

  • Fit & Fueled (Workouts + Recipes): $20/month
  • Fueled (Recipes Only): $12/month
  • Fit (Workouts Only): $12/month

In my opinion, it's an incredible value for the price. It's significantly more affordable than hiring a personal trainer and a Registered Dietitian. The Fit & Fueled option is the best deal, giving you a comprehensive plan for both fitness and nutrition.

The Verdict

The Simply Strong App by Fit Healthy Macros has been a game-changer for me. It has truly transformed my body and my lifestyle. The workouts are challenging, yet doable, and they always keep me guessing. The recipes are delicious, healthy, and easy to make. The app is user-friendly and well-designed.

If you're looking for a fun, effective, and sustainable way to improve your fitness and nutrition, I highly recommend giving the Simply Strong App a try. It's helped me become the strongest, healthiest, and most confident version of myself. And I'm confident it can do the same for you, if you put in the work.

Spark the conversation!

Have you tried the Simply Strong App? I'd love to hear about your experience in the comments below! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm happy to help! Let's support each other on our fitness journeys!

Table of Contents

I’m a dietitian, and I work with clients every day to create personalized nutrition plans that help them reach their weight loss goals. The number one question I get asked is, “What’s the best way to lose weight?” My answer is always the same: pair your diet with strength training. The benefits are undeniable, especially as we age and naturally lose muscle. So, this is the article I share with my clients.

The key to success is finding a strength training app that fits your goals, personality, and style. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to level up your routine, the right app can make strength training accessible, effective, and even fun. Let’s find the perfect one for you!

My Top Picks (quick list)

Since these are strength training apps, you'll need a pair of dumbbells for each app.

I have these adjustable dumbbells (very affordable and beginner friendly, plus they look cute), this adjustable bench, and these resistance bands.

Optional equipment includes - resistance bands, bench, cable machines, etc. All I have are my dumbbells, a bench, and resistance bands, and I can do all the workouts.

Things To Consider & My Selection Process

Choosing the right strength training app isn’t one-size-fits-all. To help you find the best app for your goals and lifestyle, I focused on the most important factors that make an app truly effective for women, especially those just getting started or looking to progress in their fitness journey.

Here’s what I considered when selecting the apps:

Skill Level

Are you a beginner or more advanced? Some apps cater specifically to beginners with easier movements and gradual progress, while others are designed for women with more experience. I made sure to include apps that accommodate all skill levels so you can grow at your own pace.

Equipment Needed

Some apps require specific equipment (dumbbells, resistance bands, benches, etc.), while others offer bodyweight workouts that require no equipment at all. Consider what you already have available to avoid extra costs and choose an app that suits your home setup.

Personal Touch and Support

The best strength training apps should offer a personal touch, meaning access to direct messaging with the trainer for any questions you may have. Being able to reach out for support or clarification makes a huge difference, especially when you’re starting out or trying to push through plateaus. I prioritized apps that allow you to communicate with trainers or have easy access to additional help when needed.

Time Efficiency

We’re all busy, so finding an app with short, effective workouts that you can easily fit into your day is a must. I looked for apps with 30-45 minute sessions that deliver results without taking up hours of your day.

Pricing and Value:

Getting the most bang for your buck is important. I considered apps that offer great value for their price—whether that means providing personalized coaching, nutrition plans, or workout variety—without being too expensive. Affordability matters, but so does the quality of the service.

Variety and Progression

You need an app that offers both variety and progression to keep you motivated. Progressive overload, where workouts get gradually harder, is crucial for building muscle. The best apps offer different workout styles to keep things fresh and challenging.

Community and Accountability

Sometimes, staying motivated is the hardest part. Apps that offer community support, challenges, and accountability features are key for helping you stick with your routine and see real results. These features can be the difference between consistency and burnout.

The Best Women's Strength Training Apps

#2. Madeline Moves App (Best for Challenging, Weekly Workouts)

moves app strength training for women

The Madeline Moves App is perfect for women who thrive on variety and enjoy fresh challenges each week. For just $20/month, you get a new set of workouts every week, making sure you’re always progressing without getting bored. Madeline, a certified personal trainer, focuses on strength training and progressive overload, but also incorporates core work, endurance, and postpartum-specific workouts.

Inside the app, you’ll find a mix of workout types, including the Strength Moves program for muscle building, Endurance Moves for stamina, and even Mom Moves for new mothers. If you're looking for new and fun ways to push your limits, Madeline Moves is the app that will keep you on your toes and constantly engaged.

The one knock on the workouts is the time frame that it says vs the reality of how long it takes you to finish. Let's recap the top apps so you can get stronger starting now:

  • Best for Building Muscle
and Feeling Confident: Simply Strong or Madeline Moves (both apps emphasize progressive overload for muscle building. My advice: while Moves App is great, if you have limited time, you will most likely not like it as her workouts go well over the planned time).
  • Best for Variety: SWEAT (due to its diverse range of trainers and programs). I also compared SWEAT to Madeline Moves and Simply Strong, if you want to see a side-by-side comparison.
  • Best Budget Option: Sadie Active (affordable and provides personalized feedback).
  • Best for Fat Loss: Simply Strong (if you combine the high protein recipes and strength training, this is the preferred holistic approach for fat loss).

When it comes to strength training apps, the best choice depends on your goals and preferences. Simply Strong is great for those who want affordable, personalized workouts and macronutrient recipes. The Madeline Moves App

Madeline Moves is a great choice for those who want a variety of workout programs. Known for her weekly workouts, Madeline’s app also includes recipes, but they tend to be more complex, requiring lots of steps and ingredients. Another downside? Her 30-minute workouts often stretch to 60 minutes, which can be tough to fit into a busy schedule. But if you’ve got the time, her workouts are fun and challenging.

SWEAT App

SWEAT offers a broad variety of trainers and programs, giving it a Peloton-like feel. If you like having multiple trainers to choose from and enjoy the sense of variety, this might be appealing. However, the lack of personal connection and overwhelm of programs can be a turn-off for some. It’s a great app if you want options, but it may feel overwhelming if you're looking for a more focused approach to your fitness journey.

The FHM+ App is perfect for women who want to take a realistic, sustainable approach to strength training. Whether you're just starting out or you're already lifting regularly, FHM+ uses progressive overload to help you build strength and get stronger over time.

This app is designed for busy women who want flexible, time-efficient workouts that actually fit into their day. The goal is to make strength training manageable, effective, and enjoyable—without overwhelming you.

Key Features

  • Progressive Overload Strength Training: The heart of FHM+ is the progressive overload method. This means you’ll gradually increase the weights and reps, challenging your muscles to grow stronger each week.
  • Minimal Equipment: You only need dumbbells and resistance bands to get started. If you have access to a bench, that’s great, but it’s not a must. Everything is designed to be simple and effective with minimal equipment.
  • Time-Efficient Workouts: Whether it’s a 30-minute or 45-minute workout, Tami ensures that the workouts are exactly what they say they are. No overrun, no wasted time—you’ll be able to fit them into your busy day and still feel accomplished.
  • Progress Tracking: The app makes it easy to track your progress. You can log your reps, weight, and even take progress photos to visually see how far you’ve come.
  • Favorite Recipes and Search Function: If you find a recipe you love, you can favorite it and easily search for others in the app. Filter by ingredients, type of meal, or nutrition needs to make healthy eating even easier.
  • Quarterly Fitness Challenges: Participate in The TRIM, a 4-week fitness and nutrition challenge, to keep you motivated and help you push your goals further.
  • Affordable Pricing: FHM+ offers great value for the content, making it a budget-friendly option that doesn’t compromise on quality.

Meet The Madeline Moves App

The Madeline Moves App is ideal for women who enjoy variety and fun in their workouts. Madeline offers a creative mix of strength training, HIIT, and other exciting exercises.

If you’re looking for fresh, weekly workouts that keep things interesting and enjoy trying out different styles, this app is for you. It’s a great fit for women who want a well-rounded fitness program with some flexibility and challenge, but don’t mind a bit of complexity.

moves app official website snapshot

Key Features

  • Weekly Workouts: Madeline releases new workouts every week, providing variety and new challenges to keep you motivated. Expect a good mix of strength, HIIT, and full-body workouts that engage multiple muscle groups.
  • Limited Recipe Options: While the app does offer some recipes, the selection is quite limited compared to other apps. The recipes that are available tend to be more complex with a lot of steps and ingredients, so it may not be the best fit if you’re looking for quick and easy meal ideas.
  • Variety of Programs: The app features multiple workout programs, so you can switch things up depending on your goals. Whether you’re looking for strength training or overall fitness, there’s something to keep you engaged.
  • Time Commitment: 30-minute workouts are promised, but in reality, many of these workouts take closer to 60 minutes. This can be frustrating for those with limited time, but for those who have more flexibility, the extended sessions provide a great intensity.

Key Features

  • Variety of Trainers and Programs: The SWEAT App offers a wide range of programs led by different trainers, giving you a broad selection of workout styles, from strength training to HIIT and everything in between. If you like having choices and love seeing new trainers, this app delivers.

  • Wide Range of Programs: Whether you’re looking to improve strength, endurance, or flexibility, SWEAT offers something for everyone, from low-impact workouts to intense HIIT sessions. It’s a comprehensive fitness solution for those who like to keep their options open.
  • User Interface: While SWEAT offers a lot of variety, the user interface can sometimes feel overwhelming with so many options. It’s not as streamlined as other apps, which could be a downside for those who prefer a simpler, more focused approach to fitness.
  • Pricing: SWEAT is on the higher end in terms of pricing, especially compared to other apps like FHM+, but you do get access to multiple trainers and workout styles for that price.

  • Squats (bodyweight or weighted)

  • Resistance Band Work
  • Deadlifts (for strength programs)

Comparison Section of FHM+ vs Madeline Moves vs SWEAT App

Comparing Workout Programs

FHM+ App

Focuses on progressive overload strength training, offering monthly workouts that are time-efficient (30-45 minutes). Workouts are designed to gradually increase in intensity to help you build strength over time, with a focus on compound exercises like squats and deadlifts. The app also includes access to challenges and nutrition support.

Moves App

Offers a variety of weekly workouts, combining strength, HIIT, and other full-body movements. While the workouts are designed to be fun and varied, some sessions take longer than promised (e.g., 30-minute workouts often stretch to 60 minutes). The focus is on keeping things fresh with weekly updates and a mix of workout styles.

SWEAT App

Provides a broad range of programs with multiple trainers and workout styles, including strength training, HIIT, and more. However, with so many options, it can feel overwhelming at times. SWEAT’s variety is its strongest point, but if you’re looking for a streamlined, focused program, it may not be the best fit.

FHM+ is realistic and challenging for busy women, Moves is more for women who want intense workouts (and don't mind their workout going over the time limit), SWEAT is good for variety of workouts.

Comparing Challenges

FHM+ The TRIM

Price: $100

The TRIM challenges are more intimate and personalized, with a 25-page getting started macro guide and a focus on individual progress. Tami takes the time to connect with members, offering personal support and a structured approach to both fitness and nutrition. The challenges are designed to provide personal motivation and accountability to help you reach your goals.

Madeline Moves Tighter Together

Price: $50

The Tighter Together challenge is more affordable and attracts a large number of participants. This means the experience can feel more impersonal, and there’s not much additional value beyond the brand name and the workouts. It’s more about mass participation, so if you’re looking for individual attention and guidance, this might not be the best fit.

SWEAT Challenge

Price: Not listed

Offers various challenges, but again, because of the large user base and the number of trainers, the challenges may feel less personal. The community atmosphere might help with motivation, but the lack of focused, individualized guidance means you might not get the personal connection found in FHM+ or Madeline Moves.

Tighter Together is great, but it's losing it's touch, The TRIM will give you more of a personalized feel, SWEAT will be a lot of women in it, but they do a great job.

Comparing Recipe Offerings

FHM+ App

Offers realistic, macro-friendly recipes that are easy to make and designed to fit into your lifestyle. Recipes are updated monthly and include a variety of meals that are quick, healthy, and nutritious. Perfect for women who want simple, practical meal options that complement their fitness goals.

Moves App

Offers a small selection of recipes, created by third-party recipe creators. They tend to be complex, with many steps and ingredients. These meals are great if you enjoy cooking and want something more involved, but they may not always fit into a busy woman’s lifestyle.

SWEAT App

Offers hundreds of recipes, with a decent selection for a variety of meal types. While the app does a solid job offering healthy meal options, some of the recipes are not as quick and easy as they may seem. Many require a bit more time and effort, making them less ideal for women on tight schedules looking for quick meals.

FHM+ has the best recipes that are realistic to make, followed by SWEAT and then Moves. The thing with Moves, is it isn't Madeline's recipes, they come from third-party sources.

Comparing Price and Value

FHM+

$20/mo for Workouts + Recipes, or $12/mo for workouts only

Affordable pricing for the value it offers—monthly workouts, recipes, and support. The quarterly challenges add extra value without any hidden fees, making it the best option for women on a budget.

Moves App

$20/mo for workouts

A mid-range priced app. While it provides weekly workouts, the value may not be as strong when compared to FHM+, especially if you’re looking for a comprehensive, all-in-one solution.

SWEAT Challenge

$24.99/mo for Workouts + Recipes

Higher-priced, but offers a lot of variety with access to multiple trainers and programs. However, the interface and the number of options can feel overwhelming, making it harder to navigate compared to the more focused experience offered by FHM+.

$20-$25 per month for any of these apps is worth it. FHM+ offers the most value at $20 per month, while SWEAT offers great value, too at $24.99 per month. The Moves App does provide value, but you're mainly getting workouts only.

Which is Better? SWEAT, Moves, or FHM+

FHM+ is the best option if you're looking for personalized support with progressive overload strength training and time-efficient workouts that fit into your busy schedule. At just $20/month, you get monthly strength training workouts and realistic macro-friendly recipes. FHM+ offers the most value for the price with a comprehensive approach to fitness and nutrition, all tailored to busy women.

SWEAT is ideal if you enjoy variety and the community aspect of working out with multiple trainers. It offers a wide selection of programs, including strength, HIIT, and more. If you're someone who thrives on having different trainers and enjoying variety, SWEAT is a great choice. However, at $24.99/month, it’s a bit pricier than FHM+ and may feel a bit overwhelming with its many options and busy interface.

Madeline Moves is a good option if you enjoy fun and varied workouts and want something that challenges you each week. Madeline’s weekly updates keep things fresh and engaging, though the Tighter Together challenge can feel impersonal since it attracts a large number of participants. It's also priced at $20/month, but the limited recipe selection and lack of personal support might not be ideal for those seeking a more structured, ongoing fitness experience.

Conclusion

Choosing the right strength training app ultimately comes down to what you value most in your fitness journey.

If you’re looking for personalized support, progressive strength training, and a holistic approach that includes both fitness and nutrition, FHM+ is the clear winner. At just $20/month (or $12/mo for workouts only), it offers the best value with time-efficient workouts, high protein recipes, and quarterly challenges to keep you on track.

If you thrive on variety and enjoy working with different trainers, SWEAT might be the right choice for you, although the higher cost and overwhelming interface may be drawbacks for some.

For those who enjoy fun, weekly workouts with new challenges, Madeline Moves provides a fresh experience, though it lacks the personalized guidance and in-depth support that FHM+ offers.

Ultimately, it all comes down to your personal preferences and fitness goals, but if you're looking for affordable, effective, and personalized strength training, FHM+ is the best choice for most women.

Exercise is such a beneficial activity that can help you lose weight, tone your muscles and improve your mood. When we get moving and increase our heart rate, this can release some feel-good endorphins and hormones like serotonin. If you’ve been working out for a while now, you might be feeling a bit bored with your activity of choice. Whether you like to run, bike, swim or take a group aerobics class, a dull routine can often hamper your progress. That’s why I want to introduce you to Octomoves Flow Rope. A totally unique method of working out, you can use Octomoves Flow Rope to burn fat, build muscle, boost heart health and so much more.

If you’re like me, you’re not a big fan of having all kinds of exercise equipment in your home. If you’re on the go a lot, travel or don’t have the money to build up your own home gym, then a treadmill, weight set, bench press and bike probably aren’t practical. A Flow Rope is an affordable investment that can be taken along on a work trip inside of your suitcase, it can be stashed in your bedside table, or you can keep it in your car for when you want to get your workout in while at a park. Are you curious to find out more about this really great product? Let’s get started with my review.

But First, What’s a Flow Rope and Is It a Good Workout?

flow ropes workout

A flow rope is an advanced exercise tool that looks similar to a jump rope but offers a few more benefits. It also weighs more than a jump rope and is shorter in length. It’s super convenient and coils up into a small package, so you can keep it in your bag, car, a drawer at home, etc. Made from nautical material (polyester) that is designed to keep your rope untangled and functioning properly, a Flow Rope allows you to move in different ways that are generally low impact. Even with chronic back or joint pain, you can easily get through a Flow Rope workout.

At first glance this looks like a resistance band workout. There isn’t any kind of stretch to a Flow Rope, so it’s quite a bit different. You’ll learn a series of gentle movements that engage different muscle groups. You can adjust your routine as you see fit so you get your heart rate up and get your lungs working.

Flow Ropes to Choose From

There are a few different Flow Ropes to choose from if you’re interested in incorporating this piece of equipment into your exercise routine. Allow me to outline what they are and what they can be used for.

flow ropes octomoves

Phoenix

The Phoenix is one of Octomoves universal ropes. It is ideal for things like meditation, intense workouts, improved muscle control and increased mobility. This is a dual rope that can be used for a warmup, workout and cool down. However, you don’t need multiple products to get the job done.

Black Swan

The Universal Black Swan is the same style rope that you get with a purchase of the Phoenix Flow Rope, however it comes in the color black. You can use this rope for your intense workout, meditation routine, muscle control exercises and to increase your mobility. This product allows you to take flow rope training to the next level.

Flowzilla

The Flowzilla is a fast and easy rope that allows a little more room for error. It’s an ideal product if you’re just learning how to use a flow rope. It can improve your cardio health, mobility and joint health. You can also use the Flowzilla for an active recovery.

Funky Zen

The Convenient Funky Zen rope helps heal your body if you’re dealing with an injury. You can use the Funky Zen to get the feel of your Flow Rope routine while improving your coordination. This is also a nice tool that you can use to meditate differently. The soft braid of the Funky Zen creates a Zen-like feeling that resembles the current of life flowing with your mind. You’ll feel the tension just slip away, and your body will feel calmer and more relaxed.

Claimed Benefits

Octomoves Flow Ropes claim to provide you with everything from a meditation tool to a piece of high-impact exercise equipment. Let’s look at some of the benefits that come with the purchase of a Flow Rope.

benefits of octomoves flow ropes

Could Relieve Stress and Anxiety

The Flow Rope from Octomoves can be used to relieve tension and stress that has built up in different areas of the body like your shoulders, neck, back and hips. While you’re using your Flow Rope, your body is flowing in very natural and beneficial movements. As you’re doing this, your mental state will reflect a deep sense of concentration that can be very calming.

May Help Increase Flexibility and Strength

You move in a full range of motion when you’re doing a Flow Ropes workout. Your shoulders and various joints move in different rotations. Other workouts tend to repeat the same one-way movement over and over again in a way that simply causes fatigue rather than improve your flexibility and strength. Many people have used Octomoves products to address back and shoulder pain, weak legs and discomfort in the hip area.

Could Help with Weight Loss

While the movements that you participate in during a Flow Ropes workout are very gentle and controlled, you’re still getting in a great workout that has the potential to help you burn fat and drop pounds. You can utilize your Flow Rope on a daily basis to maintain an optimal exercise routine that will help you get to your weight loss goal quickly.

Key Features Analysis

There are a number of features on each Flow Rope that I would like to point out. While it may just look like a jump rope, this is actually a very intricately designed product.

features octomoves flow ropes

Rope Training Modules in the App

There is an Octomoves app that you can download onto your smartphone which will provide you access to different rope training modules. You’ll be able to join Octomoves’ rope flow community for tips, tricks and new ways to use your rope.

The Freedom of Rope Flow

I personally enjoy a workout that doesn’t make me feel like I’m being forced into an uncomfortable or strenuous situation. However, I do like moving my body. Octomoves Flow Ropes were the perfect solution that gave me freedom within my workout to flow in a way that felt natural and comfortable for my body.

Physical and Mental Benefits

I work out for two main reasons: mental health and physical health. You get benefits from Flow Ropes that encompass both of these aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Not only does my body look better from taking part in regular flow rope workouts but keeping up with a routine of increased physical activity at least four days per week helps me feel more energized, happier, calmer and ready to deal with whatever stress comes my way each day.

One Size Fits All

You don’t have to be a certain age, weight or gender to use a flow rope. This is literally a one size fits all approach to fitness. Feel free to lend your friend your flow rope so they can see what it’s all about (but not for too long because you won’t want to miss out on your own workouts). Physical limitations, injuries and health issues don’t matter at all. Just make sure that you’ve been cleared to work out again if you’ve been recently diagnosed with a physical injury of some sort.

Alternatives Compared to Octomoves Ropes

If you are interested in looking at the different Flow Rope alternatives that are available, here are some of my top picks.

Spiral Flow Ropes

Spiral Flow Ropes are perfect for both beginner and advanced users. Their durable and high-quality product provides you with the opportunity to master your skills so you can utilize these ropes for the best workout possible. You can use Spiral Flow ropes to increase your coordination, flexibility, complete your cardio workout, heal from injury and increase your athleticism. Their product seems to come in and out of stock, but it’s really affordable if you can get your hands on them.

Flowropes

Flowropes is based out of the UK and offers two different varieties of ropes: the Blood Red Glider and the Green Gecko. The red version is the more lightweight option, while green provides a bit more of a challenge. Stick with red if you’re into basic workouts and switch over to green if you’re into tricks and releases.

I believe that Octomoves is a cut above other flow ropes for sale because of the quality of material used and how good their training modules are.

Tips for Success

Engaging in any kind of workout or exercise routine can be challenging at first. As you move along with your rope routine, you’ll experience many achievements as well as setbacks. Let’s take a look at some of my tips for success when you’re using Flow Ropes for your main form of fitness.

Listen to Your Body

You should always listen to your body when you’re participating in any kind of workout. While you’re using your Flow Ropes from Octomoves (or another brand), stop moving your body if you notice that anything feels uncomfortable or painful. Assess whether or not you’re moving in the wrong way, or you simply aren’t able to accomplish a certain technique. You can adjust your workout as necessary based on what your body is telling you. Some people are naturally more flexible than others, which is why everyone will have a different starting point to work off of.

Slow Down

One of the great things about Flow Ropes is that you have the opportunity to slow your body down while you move through a series of exercises. This is the perfect time to ensure that each movement you make is precise and intentional. You don’t have to attempt to set a record at the most repetitions in a certain amount of time. This generally just leads to injury or improper movements. Take your time, and do what feels natural.
