According to womenshealth.gov, PMS affects as many as 3 in 4 women. That means that upwards of 75% of us are dealing with monthly symptoms related to our menstrual cycle, and if you’re one of them, you know the frustration and disruption of life that can accompany your monthly friend.

The emotional symptoms are perhaps some of the worst. From mood swings and irritability to uneasiness and cravings, we experience a whole laundry list of symptoms each month for years of our lives.

So are we destined to simply deal with our symptoms, knowing that it’s a part of womanhood? Or is there a way to minimize and/or eliminate them altogether?

Today, I’m sharing my 30-day experience and reviewing Serenol, an all-natural PMS supplement made by Hello Bonafide, a D2C women’s health brand that’s treating some of our most common problems related to vaginal and reproductive health. They're always releasing new products, like Clairvee, which is another helpful supplement for vaginal health.

This product kind of reminds me of FLO, if you're interested in that, read through my FLO PMS gummy vitamins review article to get an idea of their brand and if it's right for you.

Does Serenol work? Or, is it just another gimmick? I’m giving you all the details about this supplement so that you have a clearer understanding of what it is, what it does, and if it’s a good choice for you and your monthly symptoms.

My Experience Taking Serenol for 30 Days!

Bare with me as I go over my notes and try to remember how I felt through the 30 days I took Serenol!

Day 1: Unboxing Hope

The package from Hello Bonafide landed on my doorstep today, and with it, a wave of cautious hope. The bright blue box of Serenol sat in my hands, promising to ease the PMS symptoms that I've come to dread each month. The ingredients were clear, straightforward, and refreshingly hormone-free. I read the instructions, keen to see if this would be my answer to the monthly turmoil of emotions.

Day 5: Settling In

Serenol has found its way into my daily routine, nestled between my vitamins and my skincare regimen. I swallow two pills with breakfast, the taste pleasantly neutral and easy to take. There's no discernible difference yet, but my research on Hello Bonafide has set a foundation of trust in their products.

Day 10: A Gentle Ease

Historically, by day ten, irritability begins to brew beneath the surface, a silent alarm for what’s ahead. Yet, today, there's a subtle shift. The usual annoyance at my partner's forgotten chores just...isn't there. I'm intrigued and admittedly a little surprised. Could this be the work of Serenol?

Day 15: The Real Test

Stress has always been a trigger for my PMS mood swings, turning small issues into insurmountable obstacles. However, faced with a high-pressure project at work, I find myself handling stress with a level of calm that's foreign to me during this phase of my cycle.

Day 20: An Unexpected Tranquility

By now, the prelude to my period typically includes a mix of anxiety and a persistent sense of overwhelm. This month, the waters are still; my mind is uncharacteristically tranquil. My craving for midnight snacks, a steadfast PMS companion, has also diminished. Is this the power of consistent, natural supplementation?

Day 25: Surprising Stability

Close to the end of the 30-day mark, and I'm amazed. The emotional upheavals that accompany my cycle have been smoothed over. It's like watching a storm from behind a window; I'm aware of what could unsettle me, yet I remain composed and removed from the chaos.

Day 30: Concluding Thoughts

My journey with Serenol is at a close, at least for this review period. It's not a miracle cure; I've had moments of moodiness, but they've been fleeting shadows rather than the usual torrent. My work efficiency remained unaffected by PMS, something I couldn’t say before. My interactions with family and friends were free from the usual PMS tension, a relief for everyone involved.

Other PMS Supplements I've Used

Over the years, I have taken FLO PMS Gummies, Aura, Goli and a few others for PMS relief, you can check out our best supplements for period cramps roundup to see where they rank. Some of them work a little, some of them don't work great at all. I can say, based on my experience with Serenol, that it worked a little better than the other PMS supplements I've tried.

What is Serenol?

Serenol is a hormone-free supplement that’s designed to relieve the emotional symptoms related to premenstrual syndrome (PMS). These symptoms include irritability, mood swings, and uneasiness, among others.

This product is created by the same brand that delivers popular menopause treatments like Revaree (read my review of Revaree for vaginal dryness) and Ristela, two very popular non-hormonal treatment options. Hello Bonafide is a brand that I have done significant research into and am excited to share their products with you. They are truly making leaps and bounds in the women’s health community!

Serenol is made to be taken daily as part of your supplement routine and designed to provide relief from symptoms all month long because we all know that no one cycle looks the same. When taken regularly, it’s shown to calm irritability, balance mood swings, and curb hunger cravings and water retention.

Bonafide uses only natural ingredients in their products and all of their formulas are rigorously tested and verified before they hit the market. Of course, you should always speak to your doctor before starting any new supplement.

What's the Ingredients in Serenol?

Bonafide believes in offering the best quality products. Their formulas are clearly labeled with the ingredients. They also utilize an FDA-registered, NSF certified GMP manufacturing facility to test products before they ever sell them.

The ingredients in Serenol include:

Primary Ingredients:

Chromium (as Chromium Picolinate)Purified Cytoplasmic Blend (proprietary Swedish Flower pollen extract (Sérélys) in the form of Pollen + Pistil Extract PI-82, and Pollen Extract GC-FEM), and Royal Jelly.

Other Ingredients:

Maltodextrin, Calcium Carbonate, Acacia, Isomalt, d-α-tocopheryl succinate (antioxidant), Stearic Acid, Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (alternatively HPMC), Silica, and Polysorbate.

Next, I’ll break down the top 3 plant-based ingredients that make Serenol effective.

Exclusive Bonafide Pollen - Taken from specifically grown plants in Sweden, Exclusive Bonafide Pollen reduces emotional PMS symptoms like irritability and mood swings.

Royal Jelly - Royal Jelly is made for Queen bees and it’s rich in nutrients including vitamins and minerals. When combined with flower pollen, it has been shown to reduce irritation, mood swings, and other emotional PMS symptoms.

Chromium Picolinate (CrPic) - This is an essential mineral for a healthy metabolism, working by reducing food cravings and subsequently food intake.

How Does Serenol Work?

Just as there is no concrete information about what causes PMS, Serenol’s mechanism of action is not fully understood either. However, it is believed that the plant-based extracts in Serenol work centrally in the body to reduce PMS-related emotional symptoms.

Essentially, Bonafide combined several plant-based ingredients that have shown to reduce common PMS symptoms and they put them together to form a blend that’s engineered to stop PMS dead in its tracks.

According to a research study conducted by Bonafide of 290 women who were taking Serenol for at least three months, 77% of them felt PMS relief within 3 months. Additionally, 60% of women reported reduced irritability and mood swings, and 87% of them stated they would recommend it to a friend. Bonafide recommends you take Serenol every day for at least two months for best results.

This brings me to my next point, how long does Serenol take to work? In clinical trials, the majority of women experienced reduced irritability and mood swings by the second month taking it, with even better results by the third month. There were some women who reported feeling improvements right away, however, Bonafide recommends that you take it every day for at least two months to realize the best results. It takes time for your body to adjust and adapt.

What Are The Side Effects of Serenol?

Potential side effects of taking Serenol could be allergic reactions from the oral intake of royal jelly, which is one of the main ingredients in Serenol. These allergic reactions could range from very mild gastrointestinal upset to more severe reactions, including asthma. The other main ingredients in Serenol is Swedish pollen with chromium picolinate, which has does not have hormonal side effects since it is non-estrogenic because Serenol is a hormone-free PMS supplement.

Serenol has been scientifically validated and has gone through rigorous third-party testing for safety, quality, purity, potency and efficacy. Furthermore, their products are also created in a FDA-registered facility, which follow the guidelines of GMP manufacturing.

Those with specific health concerns or who are taking other medications are advised to speak with their doctor before starting this supplement or any other supplement for that matter.

Serenol Reviews: What Are Customers Saying Online About This All-Natural PMS Remedy?

According to HelloBonafide.com, there are 206 reviews of Serenol, of which 80% of them are positive. And at Amazon, there are 204 ratings with a 4.3 out of 5 star rating. I took a look through all of the negative reviews and discovered that the majority of them had to do with customers saying that the product didn’t work for them, however, it’s important to keep in mind that not every product is right for every woman and some women may be at a higher risk for side effects due to their health conditions and/or other medications. This is why Bonafide highly recommends women speaking with their doctor before use.

That said, I did note that the brand responds to every single one of their reviews, whether positive or negative, which is a great sign that they care about and appreciate their customers. The vast majority of the reviews are from women who are overjoyed with the relief their experiencing from their PMS symptoms.

Is Serenol Right for You?

If you’re one of the millions of women who are dealing with emotional PMS each month, then you may be a good fit for Serenol. It’s tough to feel like your emotions are all over the place and that you can be set off at the drop of a hat (tough for you and your loved ones!).

If you’re dreading your monthly cycle month after month because of the disruption to your life and attitude you experience along with it, you owe it to yourself to check out Serenol to see if it’s a good option for you.

You CAN feel like yourself all month long. Wouldn’t you like to eliminate those upsetting mood swings, insatiable cravings, and negative emotions? Serenol could be a way for you to accomplish that. Give yourself a break and check out this non-hormonal PMS supplement today!

They utilize very knowledgeable and experienced board-certified medical professionals who listen closely to your symptoms and concerns. They also go over your medical history to ensure the prescription they want to write is going to be safe. They also address sexual health concerns with vaginal creams and other similar products.

My Experience

My menopause symptoms were really starting to bother me, and one day I decided that I had enough. I called up my doctor to see if I could get an appointment to discuss my hot flashes and mood swings. Unfortunately, it would take weeks to see my doctor unless I wanted to see one of the physician’s assistants at the practice. I don’t know about you, but I like to see my doctor, who knows me well and has been treating me for years.

After I decided that I wasn’t willing to wait weeks to even discuss menopause relief, I decided to look into Winona. Winona provides a fast sign-up process that puts you in touch with a board-certified medical professional who can prescribe you a variety of menopause prescriptions. My call was very informative and helpful. We went over my health history and what I had been experiencing. I was prescribed medication that was going to be shipped to my home within the week. I was prescribed Winona’s Progesterone Cream, which, after a couple of weeks, started to improve symptoms like difficulty sleeping, mood swings and hot flashes. I didn’t experience any side effects.

What I Like

  • It’s really fast to connect with a doctor from the Winona team.
  • You can have all of your prescribed items sent to your home.
  • It’s relatively affordable.

What Can Be Improved

  • It can take a few weeks to see results from the prescription that you’re using.

Once you sign up and enter all of your information, you will be directed to schedule your appointment with a Midi Health provider. During your telehealth visit, you will talk about your medical history and the perimenopause or menopause symptoms that you have been experiencing. You may be ordered imaging or blood tests to find out more about what is going on with your body. The Midi Health team will work with your primary care team if necessary, coming up with a proper care plan. You will complete follow-up telehealth visits as well.

Types of HRT They Offer

Midi Health has custom menopause prescriptions that treat a variety of conditions. Some of their products include:

  • Estriol+ Face Cream

  • Elavil
  • Vylees

My Experience

I found Midi Health to be a positive experience because of how thorough they are with their patients. It was important to me that all of my health information was taken into consideration before I was prescribed anything. I personally went through some blood tests to check a few values out, but I didn’t have to do any kind of scans or anything.

I was prescribed Gabapentin for symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats. It did help my temperature regulation issues; however, it did take a few weeks for me to see any kind of change. I have tried other products that worked a bit faster.

What I Like

  • You can utilize insurance coverage for this process.
  • I like that Midi Health pays close attention to your whole-body health by running tests if they deem it necessary.

What Can Be Improved?

  • The process of obtaining your prescription could be a bit faster.

Comparison Section Between Midi Health vs. Winona

I found that Winona and Midi Health are quite different in regard to their business models. However, they do strive to provide the same kind of assistance for women experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms. Let’s talk more about how they compare.

Comparing HRT

Winona offers a variety of HRT options that include creams, capsules and more. Their products are generally very estrogen- or progesterone-focused (or both together). You can choose to use progesterone in a topical cream or as an oral supplement. Estrogen is available as patches, creams and oral tablets. Some products combine both estrogen and progesterone to provide results.

Midi Health provides prescriptions for a number of products, including brand name HRT like Gabapentin, Effexor, Elavil and Vyleesi. They also offer non-hormonal products, supplements and botanicals.

Comparing Pricing

Pricing is quite a bit different for these two companies. Because Midi Health often requires you to go through some testing prior to receiving a prescription, the cost may be a bit higher. However, they do accept insurance. So essentially, what you pay for Midi Health is going to depend on the type of coverage you have, whether or not you’ve met your deductible, etc.

Winona prides itself on having no hidden fees or costs. Their products run anywhere from $24 to $79 per month. You can utilize HSA and FSA coverage if it applies to you. Winona is an extremely affordable option, especially when you take into consideration what it might cost you to schedule an appointment with your gynecologist or primary physician and obtain medication through them.

Main Differences Between Midi Health and Winona

I find Midi Health to be a bit more involved compared to Winona. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but if you’re looking for fast access to menopause relief, I would recommend that you utilize Winona. The process of signing up, scheduling a telehealth call and obtaining your prescription is much faster.

Final Thoughts and Next Steps

I can’t stress enough that, as women, we shouldn’t suffer through perimenopause and menopause. There are so many different symptoms that can present themselves during this period of our lives. There is help out there. I recommend that you take a look at what Winona can offer you. Their process is very simple, and you’ll have relief in no time.

Have you heard about hormone replacement therapy as a treatment option for menopause-related symptoms? Natural botanicals and herbs can also help you balance your hormones naturally. You don’t have to suffer through your hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia and mood swings. Not only is help available, but it has now become more convenient than ever to find the treatment that will work for your symptoms. Brands like Winona and Happy Mammoth both provide you with support through the menopause transition.

Let’s look closely at what each brand offers, so you can decide which one is your best option.

Key Factors to Know Before Buying Winona or Happy Mammoth

Winona

  • Winona has a very detailed process for putting you in touch with a board-certified physician who will prescribe the hormone therapy that best addresses your menopause symptoms.
  • All of your Winona products will be discreetly shipped right to your door.
  • The ingredients in Winona’s products are made using ingredients that have been sourced from FDA-registered facilities.

Happy Mammoth

  • Happy Mammoth has a large selection of products that are geared towards overall health. This includes hormone-balancing supplements.
  • The Happy Mammoth product line is based on natural ingredients, so you don’t need a prescription for them.
  • There isn’t any medical support provided through Happy Mammoth.

Overview of Winona Menopause HRT

Winona is unique because they provide telehealth services that put you in touch with a board-certified medical professional that will assess your menopause journey. By explaining your medical history and symptoms, you can be prescribed a personalized treatment that will alleviate symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, joint pain, skin changes and much more. Winona products are legitimate hormone replacement therapy items that are made according to the latest medical advancements and technology.

Types of HRT They Offer

Winona is largely based on different estrogen and progesterone-focused products. They also have a DHEA product, which is a synthetic version of the steroid precursor hormone that is produced in our adrenal glands. Their Blossom Cream is a female Viagra-similar product that can keep your sexual life alive during menopause.

Other products include:

Estrogen Body Cream

Made using estradiol and estriol, Winona Estrogen Body Cream can alleviate common symptoms like night sweats, hot flashes, anxiety and low sex drive.

Estrogen Body Cream with Progesterone

Progesterone has been added to Winona’s Estrogen Body Cream to further assist with symptoms like hair loss, memory problems, mood changes and fatigue.

Estrogen Patches

Estrogen doesn’t have to be taken orally or rubbed into the skin by way of a cream. Patches are a really convenient way to help balance your hormones, reducing a number of complications like blood clots.

Progesterone Body Cream

You can use Winona Progesterone Cream on its own or with other Winona products. It helps with things like brain fog, hair changes, anxiety, mood swings and skin changes.

My Experience

Rather than continue to be disregarded by the doctors that I have seen for menopause-related issues, I turned to the internet to see what I could learn about my symptoms. Much of what I’ve experienced is very common, and there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to achieve safe and effective relief.

I came across Winona and immediately started the process of setting up an evaluation with one of their doctors. Once I had my consultation, I was very happy with the outcome. All of my concerns were addressed. The different products available through Winona were explained to me. I was able to make an educated decision regarding what to try.

I ordered Winona’s Progesterone Cream based on the recommendations I received. Once I received it and started applying it as directed, I noticed a difference in my symptoms within a few weeks. Mainly, I was experiencing issues sleeping, and I was having more anxiety. I noticed the most substantial changes after about two menstrual cycles. I was able to fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. I also didn’t notice as many anxious moments or irritability.

Pros

  • Because you’re meeting with a board-certified physician to obtain guidance for your products, you can feel confident that you’re safe.
  • All of Winona’s products contain ingredients that have been thoroughly studied.
  • Everything arrives at your home in discreet packaging.

Cons

  • You may find that some of Winona’s products are expensive, but they are actually pretty comparable to prescription HRT that you would receive from your local pharmacy.
  • You may need to wait a few weeks before you see full results from the Winona product that you’re using.

Overview of Happy Mammoth for Menopause Treatment

Slightly different from what Winona offers, Happy Mammoth has a line of natural supplements that can enhance your hormone health, mood and overall wellbeing. They have a few different formulations designed to alleviate mood swings, hot flashes, weight issues and even vaginal health.

Types of Menopause Supplements They Offer

Hormone Harmony

This is Happy Mammoth’s best-selling product. It contains a MenoBalance complex with broccoli sprout extract, maca root, chaste berry and wild yam. The MenoShred Complex in this product contains fennel seed, rosemary and gymnema extract. To support your mood, Hormone Harmony also features chamomile and rhodiola extracts. Happy Mammoth advertises a number of benefits when using this product, such as temperature regulation, mood balance and weight management.

Meno Daily

Meno Daily is designed to provide you with all of the essential nutrients needed during menopause. This includes the basics like vitamins A, C, B12, folate, biotin and zinc. Meno Daily also includes the Meno Control blend, which features sage leaf, keratin, bamboo leaf and more.

Venus Vital

These capsules help promote vaginal health so that you experience less odor, itching and burning. This is a probiotic-based supplement that addresses hormone health from a gut-health perspective.

My Experience

I always like to try natural products before I settle for something that is sourced with a prescription. I tried Happy Mammoth prior to trying Winona. I experienced some benefit from their Venus Vital. I assume this is because of the gut health and hormone balance relationship. I’ve always had some issues with my gut, so improving my microbiome made sense.

I like some of the other formulas that this brand features, especially Meno Daily. It’s nice to supplement with the nutrients that are needed for optimal hormone health.

Pros

  • Based on natural and herbal ingredients that are safe and have been widely studied.
  • Featuring multiple ingredients in each product, Happy Mammoth addresses hormone health as a whole rather than focusing on just one or two symptoms.
  • There are a lot of positive reviews on the Happy Mammoth website.

Cons

  • Your symptoms may not be improved with these natural formulas. HRT is something that may be needed.
  • Happy Mammoth addresses hormone health as a whole, so you’ll have to find a product that covers as many of the symptoms as possible that you’re experiencing.

Comparison Section: Happy Mammoth Vs. Winona

Comparing Treatment Options

Some women may find that natural products, like those sold by Happy Mammoth, would be beneficial for many of the menopause symptoms that they’re experiencing. For me, I did see some relief from things like mood swings and vaginal health. However, there may come a point where symptoms increase in severity or more symptoms appear. In these cases, HRT would be beneficial. It might be a good idea to try Happy Mammoth while keeping in mind that you have the option of turning to Winona when you’re in need of more personalized hormone assistance.

Also, Winona allows you to choose products based on the symptoms you’re experiencing. Happy Mammoth items really focus on overall hormone balance.

Comparing Pricing

Winona products retail as low as $24 per month or as high as $79 per month. It really depends on which items you’re using. You may be able to save some money by choosing combination products (estrogen as well as progesterone) instead of single items.

Happy Mammoth products retail for $69.99 per bottle. This is usually a one-month supply.

Main Differences Between Happy Mammoth and Winona

The types of formulas that these brands use are what make them so different. Happy Mammoth is a natural-focused company that uses vitamins, minerals, botanicals and herbs to balance your hormones. Winona uses prescription-based HRT for relief.

Also, Winona provides customers with a tele-health aspect of care. Your consultation with a doctor will help you determine which products you should be using. You don’t receive this feature from Happy Mammoth.

Which Menopause HRT Is Better: Happy Mammoth or Winona?

I’ve tried both of these products and have found them to be beneficial. However, I’m reaching a point in my menopause journey where symptom prevalence is increasing, and I feel I need the support of Winona’s program. While I pride myself on being well educated on various health topics, I really didn’t know where to start with hormone replacement therapy. It was helpful to have someone to reach out to with my questions. Because of this, I say that Winona is the better option for menopause symptom relief.

My Recommendations

Regardless of which brand you choose for relief, it’s important that you know you don’t have to suffer through menopause. There are a number of options that you can utilize to help you feel better physically and mentally. I recommend Winona if you’re looking for assistance with figuring out what’s going on with your body and would like product recommendations and support.

popular

Choose Winona if...

  • You would like to speak with a medical professional about your symptoms and product options.
  • You would like to utilize prescription-based hormone replacement therapy.
  • You’re interested in topical HRT products.

Choose Happy Mammoth if...

  • You’re looking for a more natural option for hormone health.
  • You want to try holistic support before turning to a prescription.
  • You’ve used other Happy Mammoth products with success.

If temperature regulation is one of the main complaints that you have, your Winona representative will likely point you in the direction of their progesterone products.

Estrogen Therapy

Also available from Winona are a variety of estrogen-focused items. This includes estrogen cream, estrogen cream with progesterone, vaginal estrogen cream, estrogen patches and estrogen tablets. While estrogen can also help with things like night sweats and hot flashes, it can also promote optimal vaginal health. It’s essential if you’re experiencing vaginal dryness, burning, itching or pain during sex.

Testosterone Therapy

Did you realize that women need testosterone as well? It can help with a number of menopause symptoms, including low sex drive. DHEA is used to raise testosterone levels naturally.

My Experience

I have spoken with my doctor a few times about symptoms I’ve been experiencing that I suspected were related to menopausal changes. The only advice I have ever received is to go on birth control. This isn’t really the approach I’ve wanted to take, so I usually go on my way without any help. I recently saw an ad for Winona and was instantly intrigued. Was there actually someone out there who would listen to my concerns and help me? I immediately signed up to get the process started.

During my initial consultation with someone from the Winona team, I communicated the issues that I’ve been having. This included trouble staying asleep at night, hot flashes during the day and some vaginal dryness at certain points of the month. All of my information was taken into consideration, and I was recommended Winona’s progesterone cream.

I started the cream upon receiving my package. I have very sensitive skin, but I didn’t experience any kind of reaction at all. I didn’t notice much of a difference for the first couple of weeks of using this product. By week three or four, I felt like I was sleeping better at night. After I completed one full menstrual cycle, the excessive sweating started to go away.

What I Like

  • This is a bioidentical HRT option that addresses a large number of perimenopause and menopause symptoms.
  • Winona addresses the decline in production of progesterone and estrogen that happens in our 30s and 40s.
  • Winona acknowledges that menopause relief is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Each of their clients receives personalized care.

What I Don’t Like

  • The products are a bit expensive.
  • Product selection is limited.

Alloy at a Glance

The creators of Alloy believe that all menopause symptoms are completely treatable. Not to mention, they feel there is a complete lack of quality care for women approaching and dealing with menopause. This evidence-based and holistic option for HRT is guided and supported by a team of medical professionals. After completing a quick three-minute assessment, you get initial recommendations based on that information. You can then make selections, which will be sent to one of Alloy’s medical professionals. If they have any concerns, they’ll let you know before they approve your selection. You can also opt to start this process by speaking with someone on Alloy’s medical team. Your prescriptions are conveniently sent to your door within 3 to 5 days of making your selections.

More on Alloy:

Types of HRT They Offer

Alloy is similar to Winona in that they both offer progesterone and estrogen therapy. Progesterone is used in Alloy’s formulas to strengthen the uterus and regulate your menstrual cycle. You should see fewer dramatic fluctuations and symptoms as you continue your treatments.

Alloy includes estradiol in their products, sourced naturally from yams. It’s molecularly identical to the estrogen that you are already producing in your body right now. You’re just supplementing with higher levels, which can help reduce menopause symptoms.

My Experience

In my search for menopause relief, I came across Alloy. It seemed easy to complete their initial three-minute survey, and it was. After that point, I received product recommendations in my email within a couple of days. I was advised to review those products and let Alloy know if I would like to purchase them or set up a day and time to speak with one of their medical professionals. I opted to speak with someone to ensure I was getting the best care possible.

Alloy also recommended progesterone to me based on the symptoms I reported. Their supplements are pretty basic, and you can even purchase birth control from them. They also offer a gut health supplement that can help regulate digestion, boost your immune response and balance your hormones.

I was provided a progesterone medication that was to be taken orally. I wish there would have been a suggestion for a topical product. I wasn’t thrilled with taking progesterone by mouth every day, which is why I ended up using Winona’s products instead.

What I Like

  • Once you’ve made your product selections, you should receive your product within three to five business days.
  • You have the option of starting the process by speaking to a medical professional.
  • There are a number of treatment options available from Alloy.

What I Don’t Like

  • I personally think that it’s helpful to speak with an experienced medical professional before you receive any kind of prescription-based product. Alloy gives you the option of skipping a call and just running your selections by the Alloy team before they’re sent out.

Comparison Section: Alloy vs Winona

Comparing HRT

While both Winona and Alloy offer hormone replacement therapy options that focus on progesterone and estrogen, I liked the options available from Winona. If you’re looking for the convenience of an oral treatment, that’s available. You can also opt for patches and creams if you like that application method better.

Comparing Pricing

The current cost of an oral estradiol supplement from Alloy is $39.99 per month. Estrogen tablets from Winona are priced at $49 per month. There’s a bit of a price difference, but nothing substantial enough that I would base my decision solely on affordability.

Main Differences Between Alloy and Winona

I like the product selection that is available from Winona. Plus, I felt the initial consultation process was much more thorough. Hormone replacement therapy can be risky if you’re not working with the right medical team. I felt that I was being listened to when working with Winona.

Which Menopause HRT Is Better: Alloy or Winona?

I personally think that Winona has gone to greater lengths to ensure a safe, effective and beneficial process for women who want to find relief from their menopause symptoms. Each woman is treated on a case-by-case basis. I also like the product availability that Winona provides.

Anxiety, changes in mood, trouble sleeping, sweating, vaginal discomfort, dry skin and exercise intolerance are just some of the changes that women notice when they’re approaching or going through menopause. This is a time in a woman’s life that can be very challenging because of all the symptoms that arise.

There’s no need to suffer through menopause. There are treatments that can completely transform your life. Let’s take a look at Winona and Evernow, two hormone replacement therapy brands that can treat a variety of menopause-related symptoms.

Key Factors to Know Before Buying Winona or Evernow

Most popular

Winona

  • Winona connects you with board-certified doctors who will help determine the best treatment plan for your menopause situation. They will touch base with you periodically to see how you’re doing with your treatment.
  • Winona medications are shipped right to your door.
  • Winona is a hormone replacement therapy option that replaces declining levels of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone.

Evernow

  • Evernow uses evidence-based treatments that take into consideration the exact symptoms that you’re experiencing.
  • You can receive your Evernow products either at your local pharmacy or by having them shipped right to your door.
  • Patches and pills are just some of the product types that are available from Evernow.

All About Winona

Winona is a telehealth company that connects patients with board-certified physicians who can help direct their care. Once an assessment has taken place, women can access doctor-prescribed, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy shipped right to their door. The Winona team stays up-to-date on all of the latest medical advancements and technology, allowing patients to experience a substantial reduction in menopause-related symptoms.

Types of HRT They Offer

Winona is a great company because they offer hormone replacement therapy in a number of different forms. For example, their products include:

Estrogen Body Cream

This product contains two different kinds of estrogen: estradiol and estriol. When used regularly, it can help remedy symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, low libido and anxiety.

Estrogen Body Cream with Progesterone

In addition to estradiol and estriol, this product also contains progesterone. It can be applied routinely to assist with symptoms like hair changes, brain fog, anxiety, irritability, low energy, weight gain and fatigue.

Estrogen Patches

A more convenient way to administer estrogen, especially if you have sensitive skin like me, is through estrogen patches. They offer transdermal delivery that can reduce potential clotting risks.

Estrogen Tablets

One dose taken each day can support women’s health during menopause, reducing symptoms associated with aging.

Progesterone Body Cream

This product can be used on its own or along with estrogen-focused products from Winona. It’s recommended that you apply it to the forearms once per day.

Progesterone Capsule

If you want an ultra-easy way to administer your prescribed progesterone, these capsules from the Winona brand mimic the natural progesterone that our bodies typically produce in abundance when we’re younger.

My Experience

winona menopause hrt treatment

Unfortunately, I haven’t found doctors in my area to be incredibly knowledgeable or helpful in regard to perimenopause or menopause. Some of the symptoms that I’ve experienced in my own journey (increased anxiety and sleep issues) have been disregarded. The nice thing about Winona is that you’re matched with a board-certified medical professional who is knowledgeable, experienced and ready to help you feel your best through this transitional period of your life. I absolutely loved the doctor that I spoke with. I didn’t feel rushed, and all of my concerns were addressed.

Based on my symptoms, my health history and my concerns, it was determined that I would likely benefit from a progesterone cream to start with. I communicated that I wanted to start with something simple before using too many different products and too high of strengths. While I have sensitive skin and was concerned about using a cream-based product, I had a pleasant experience. It’s priced at $79 per month, and the ingredients are very simple. It didn’t cause any irritation or rashes.

I noticed a difference in how I was feeling after about one full menstrual cycle. I was sleeping better, for sure. My mood started to shift more toward the second month of using Winona’s progesterone cream. I was less anxious and irritable.

Pros

  • This is a safe method of obtaining menopause treatment. You meet with a board-certified physician before receiving anything.
  • Winona products are backed by science.
  • You receive all of your products in discreet packaging, so nosy neighbors and mail carriers don’t know what you’re up to.
  • This is a personalized treatment approach.

Cons

  • Some of the products are a bit expensive.
  • You’ll need to set aside a little bit of time to complete your initial assessment and wait for your products to arrive.
  • Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo
  • It can take a number of weeks to see the full benefits of a product.

All About Evernow

Evernow was created with the hope of developing a new way to access healthcare and treatments for menopause. The Evernow team is made up of medical professionals, scientists and technologists. The goal is to focus on women’s long-term health. Backed by a number of famous investors such as Abby Wambach, Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow, Evernow offers products that focus on alleviating symptoms such as skin issues, anxiety, body odor, brain fog, sleep issues, joint pain and hot flashes.

Types of HRT They Offer

Evernow offers a number of different hormone replacement therapy options, such as:

Estradiol Patch

Estradiol is a hormone that is commonly administered to help with a number of menopause-related symptoms. It can work in as little as two weeks.

Estradiol Pill

You can also take estradiol in pill form, making it easy to administer your dose each day. This is a nice option if you’re prone to skin irritation when using topical products. The benefits are the same with either product form.

Vaginal Estrogen Cream

This bioidentical vaginal estradiol cream from Evernow can be used regularly to reduce a number of vaginal symptoms associated with menopause. This includes vaginal dryness, painful sex, frequent urination and even frequent urinary tract infections.

My Experience

evernow vaginal dryness cream

I personally feel like the products that are available from Evernow are a bit limited compared to what Winona offers. I personally tried the brand’s vaginal estradiol cream. While it did help with some symptoms, like dryness, I found the cream to be a little irritating. Plus, using the applicator got a little messy. When using this product, you’re supposed to avoid having sexual intercourse for at least eight hours after using it. This can be annoying, feeling like you have to schedule everything.

Pros

  • Your personal information is evaluated before determining what products from Evernow might be an option for your symptom relief.
  • You may be able to use your HSA or FSA account to pay for these products.
  • There is a large panel of experts behind Evernow.
  • There are certain products that are very much geared towards specific symptoms, such as hair loss (minoxidil).

Cons

  • It’s difficult to figure out what ingredients are included in products, such as their estradiol cream. Winona is much more transparent, in my opinion.
  • Product selection is limited.

Comparison Section

Comparing HRT

Both Winona and Evernow use bioidentical hormone replacement to alleviate the symptoms that are most commonly experienced by women in periomenopause and menopause. Depending on what you’re experiencing, one brand may be more helpful than the other. I found that Winona offered some of the more common HRT options that cover a slew of symptoms. Evernow offers more specific products, which may be beneficial if there’s something you’re trying to focus on.

Comparing Pricing

The price points for Winona seem to be a bit higher, but they don’t seem unreasonable. Plus, Winona is a very reputable brand that provides high-quality products to their patients. You get what you pay for in many cases. When it comes to hormone replacement therapy, I personally want to make sure I’m getting the best prescriptions possible.

Main Differences Between Evernow and Winona

I think the product differences are what differentiate Winona and Evernow. Because of this, I think being able to touch base with a medical professional or expert on the Winona or Evernow team is ideal. You’ll want to talk to them about what you’re experiencing in order to receive a personalized care plan.

Also, the hormones used by these two brands differ slightly. Winona really seems to focus quite a bit on the basic estrogen and progesterone balance. You can obtain these two hormones through Evernow, but they also focus on things like estradiol.

Which Menopause HRT Is Better: Evernow or Winona?

I personally enjoyed my experience with Winona a bit more. I very much liked the medical professional that I was in touch with. The process didn’t feel very generic and fast, which is sort of what I experienced with Evernow. I appreciate a medical professional who takes the time to ensure that they’re providing a high level of care to a patient, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the products prescribed.

My Recommendations

It can be stressful to try and find remedies and treatments for the menopause symptoms that you’re experiencing. I know firsthand how these hormone fluctuations can affect your quality of life. I recommend that you look into both of these companies to see what they have to offer. You may find that one or the other carries certain products that really apply to what you’re experiencing. For me, I liked the approach that Winona provided for my slew of symptoms.

It’s beneficial to go through the process of speaking with a medical professional from both Winona and Evernow to see what kind of options you have. You’re in charge of your health, so you ultimately get to make the final decision regarding what HRT option you want to go with.

Hormone replacement therapy is something that my doctor and I have discussed for a few years now. I was in my late 30s when I started to experience symptoms that fit into the category of perimenopause. While those symptoms were tolerable early on and didn’t occur all that frequently, they only became more prevalent as the years went on. I tried reaching out to my doctor a few months ago when my symptoms were really becoming a problem. I also noticed there was a shift in the health of my skin and hair. Vaginal health was changing as well. After being unable to secure a timely appointment, I started looking into online support.

I tried Midi Health as a way to access perimenopause HRT treatment. The program is covered by insurance, and you get very thorough support from a board-certified medical professional who ensures you’re being prescribed the right treatment. I felt like I was in good hands throughout my entire experience with Midi Health.

Let’s talk more about what you can expect from your experience with Midi Health, including how to sign up, what the process is like and the kinds of treatment options that are available. I’m also going to share with you some other options to consider if Midi Health doesn’t seem like a good fit for you.

The HOT Takes!

  • Midi Health deals with symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause.

Choose Midi Health if…

  • You’re experiencing some of the annoying symptoms of perimenopause or menopause.
  • You’re concerned with the cost of certain telehealth companies and want to utilize your insurance.
  • Imaging and blood testing are things you are interested in having performed prior to receiving a prescription.

Don’t Choose Midi Health if…

  • You want a quick prescription for HRT and don’t want to go through testing, obtaining records, etc.

How I Found Midi Health

midi health menopause HRT treatment

I came across Midi Health after my perimenopause symptoms started to take over my life. Mood swings, anxiety and hot flashes were becoming an almost daily occurrence. After trying to schedule an appointment with my doctor and finding out if it would take weeks to see him, I opted to look into telehealth options. My Midi Health experience was positive from the moment I signed up. It doesn’t take long to sign up, and before you know it, you’re scheduling your first appointment.

I’ve come across a number of HRT-focused online companies in the past few years. While they all offer similar estrogen- and progesterone-focused products, their business models tend to vary a bit. Midi Health is one of the more thorough companies that I’ve come across. They go to great lengths to make sure that you’re healthy, that you’re receiving a safe and beneficial prescription, and they offer ongoing support if you have any questions. I reached out a few times to ask questions about the product I was using. I received prompt responses and felt like the team actually cared about me as a client.

How I Got Started

I got started with signing up for Midi Health by clicking on the “Book Your First Visit” button. I was directed to enter some personal information about myself, including the basics about who I am and how to contact me. I had to fill out what my perimenopause symptoms are, any medical issues that I’ve experienced recently and any prescription medications or supplements that I have been using. I also had to fill out my health insurance information.

Once I clicked all the necessary boxes and included my personal information, I was directed to a page where I could schedule my telehealth appointment with one of the doctors from the Midi Health team. The appointments were in the very near future, so don’t expect to wait weeks to speak with someone. I picked an appointment about four days from the time of signing up, which was what fit into my schedule. There were earlier appointments available as well.

My call with a medical professional from Midi was very straightforward and didn’t take very long. However, I felt the doctor was very thorough and had reviewed my information before speaking with me. We had a brief discussion about what I was experiencing, and we talked about the different HRT options that were available.

My Prescription Medication

Midi Health offers a very vast selection of HRT options compared to some of the other telehealth companies that I’ve reviewed. Some of their options include:

  • Estriol+ Face Cream
  • Hydroquinone Cream
  • Minoxidil/Finasteride Hair Regrowth Spray
  • DHEA/Estradiol Cream
  • Arousal Cream

They also offer brand-name HRT options, such as:

  • Gabapentin
  • Effexor
  • Elavil
  • Vyleesi

I personally received a prescription for DHEA/Estradiol Cream. The price is $90 for a 30-day supply. This product is designed to rejuvenate the tissue in the vulvar region as well as support libido.

Results and Relief

It can take a few weeks to see results from an estrogen-based cream, but I saw relief very quickly. I would say there was a shift in my comfort level and lubrication within 10 days. What I liked about Midi Health’s DHEA/Estradiol Cream is that it can be used along with other systemic HRT options. I was looking into taking an oral medication as well, so it was nice to know I wouldn’t have to stop my topical application.

This product was pretty affordable, especially with assistance from my health insurance company. I found it lasted me a little less than one month, though. The process of obtaining my prescription was relatively simple and fast.

Similar Solutions: What Other Menopause HRT Brands Are Out There?

Looking for other options for HRT support? I’ve looked into some other companies and tried them out. Here are my favorites:

Winona (Recommended HRT for Menopause)

Winona is a telehealth HRT-focused company that is similar to Midi Health. Their medical team was very knowledgeable and provided fast relief from my perimenopause symptoms. Their products cover a ton of different menopause-related symptoms, like anxiety, mood swings, pain in your joints, hot flashes, night sweats, etc.

A few of Winona’s most popular HRT products include:

  • Estrogen Body Cream
  • Estrogen Body Cream With Progesterone
  • Estrogen Patches
  • Progesterone Body Cream

With the goal of being able to treat all symptoms of menopause and help women feel like themselves again, Alloy offers HRT therapies that are evidence-based. A three-minute assessment is all it took me to get started. The information I provided resulted in recommendations for certain prescriptions. I provided my feedback, and that information was forwarded to the Alloy team before a prescription was issued. I had the option of speaking with a medical professional from the Alloy team prior to getting started. It’s nice to have these options based on whether you’re looking for fast HRT or you want to be thorough with your decisions. Alloy sent my prescription right to my door within the week.

Would I Recommend Midi Health to a Friend?

I would highly recommend that a friend look into Midi Health. When dealing with hormone issues of any kind, it’s very overwhelming to try and come up with some sort of plan for how to feel better. I personally felt like Midi Health makes it very easy to speak with someone about your symptoms and figure out the best plan of action.

However, I also recommend that you look into Winona Health. Their program is very thorough and secure, and their team really comes across as wanting to help you. The Winona products that I was prescribed didn’t take very long to work. I also feel like the team was very accurate regarding what HRT I would benefit from.

It felt like a big challenge to figure out what my body was doing during perimenopause and into menopause. Not to mention, it was hard to find relief from the symptoms I was experiencing. Mood swings, hot flashes, night sweats and gut issues were all bringing me down. Then I came across two brands of hormone replacement therapy products that seemed promising. I gave them a try, and I’m here to share my experiences with you.

Let’s talk about Alloy and Evernow.

Key Factors to Know Before Buying Alloy or Evernow

Most popular

Alloy

  • You can access free ongoing support and care from Alloy when you’re a client.
  • Alloy’s product line includes probiotics, gut health supplements and hormone replacement therapy to provide relief from common menopause symptoms.
  • Alloy is made up of an experienced team of professionals that help you find targeted solutions for your symptoms.

Evernow

  • Evernow takes the approach of using evidence-based treatments to address specific menopause symptoms.
  • Evernow products are available by mail or by having your prescription sent to your local pharmacy.
  • There are different product types available from Evernow, including pills and patches. The Evernow team will help you figure out what the best option is for your situation.

An Overview the Alloy Menopause Brand

The belief behind Alloy’s creation gave me a lot of peace of mind. When you’re in the middle of these hormonal fluctuations, it can often feel like there’s no hope. However, Alloy believes that all menopause symptoms are treatable. Evidence-based, Alloy initially asks that you complete a three-minute assessment in order to provide you with initial recommendations for products that have the potential to help you. You give feedback on these recommendations, and then you will be paired with an Alloy medical professional who will either approve or amend your selections. It takes approximately three to five days to receive your product if you’re having it shipped to your door.

Types of HRT They Offer

Alloy offers both progesterone and estrogen therapy as part of their treatment program. Many of Alloy’s products that contain progesterone can be used to strengthen the uterus, regulate your menstrual cycle and reduce symptoms that come from these wacky fluctuations in hormones that we women are so prone to.

Alloy uses a natural form of estrogen in some of their products. Estradiol, sourced from yams, is molecularly the same as estrogen that’s already in your body. However, some women need an added boost to help get back on track and feel like themselves again.

My Experience

I came across Alloy on the internet while I was looking for different ideas for treating perimenopause and menopause symptoms. The three-minute survey was really quick, which made me a little apprehensive. Would they gather enough information to really make an appropriate recommendation? I was happy with the products they suggested to me (progesterone administered orally), and I provided my approval. I also chose to connect with one of the staff members at Alloy so I could make sure the best products were being used for my symptoms.

I chose to purchase my progesterone supplement through the mail. While it takes a few more days than if I went to my local pharmacy, it’s just a more convenient option. I didn’t experience any adverse effects from this oral supplement, but I do like that other brands offer a topical progesterone option. That wasn’t available through Alloy.

Pros

  • The initial survey is very fast.
  • You can review your recommendations and request changes.
  • You have the option to connect with a professional at Alloy to discuss your recommendations.
  • Products can be sent to your home, or you can pick them up from your local pharmacy.

Cons

  • Product selection is a bit limited.
  • I like the idea of speaking with a medical professional before you receive product recommendations.

An Overview of Evernow

Designed to provide a way of accessing menopause care and treatments from the comfort of your home, Evernow’s team consists of medical professionals, scientists and technologists who have a passion for what they do. Not only is this brand geared towards menopause treatments, but also long-term female health. Their products address menopause issues like anxiety, vaginal discomfort, insomnia, pain, hot flashes and night sweats.

Types of HRT They Offer

Evernow is impressive with the number of HRT products that they offer. Some of their options include:

Estradiol Patch

You can get relief from some of your menopause symptoms in as little as two weeks while using the Evernow Estradiol patch. Because it’s topical, there are minimal side effects.

Estradiol Pill

If you’d prefer to take your estrogen in pill form, Evernow offers this as well. Some people have sensitive skin, which makes it easier to take an oral supplement.

Estrogen-Based Vaginal Cream

If you’re experiencing symptoms that are related to your vaginal health, Evernow has an estrogen-based vaginal cream that can help alleviate dryness, irritation, pain during sex and recurring urinary tract infections.

My Experience

I like that Evernow has a few different types of products available if you’re not simply looking for an oral prescription. I opted to try their vaginal estradiol cream. It worked really well for symptoms like dryness from an interior standpoint. However, it was a bit irritating after using it for a number of consecutive days.

Evernow recommends that you don’t have sexual intercourse for eight hours after you use this cream, so it involves a little planning ahead. That’s one thing I didn’t love about it.

Pros

  • The Evernow team assesses all of the information that you provide before you decide what products are ideal for your situation.
  • Certain FSA and HSA accounts will cover the cost of Evernow items.
  • Evernow has a pretty impressive backing of medical professionals and experienced individuals.
  • If you’re dealing with specific symptoms, like hair loss, there are certain products you can use for that purpose alone.

Cons

  • I’d love to see a little more product transparency on the Evernow website.

While they may seem similar in a lot of ways, let’s compare Alloy and Evernow to see which one is the better option.

Comparing HRT

Both Alloy and Evernow offer traditional HRT options that focus on using progesterone and estrogen for relief. However, I feel like Evernow provides women with a few extra options. That being said, I do like that Alloy uses a natural form of estradiol, and their products are very safe.

Comparing Pricing

Pricing varies depending on what products you want to try. Just as an example, an oral estradiol supplement from Alloy costs $39.99 per month. You can purchase Evernow’s estradiol pill for as little as $20 per month. There is a membership fee that is billed separately, though.

Main Differences Between Evernow and Alloy

The process of obtaining your HRT is a little different when you’re considering Evernow versus Alloy. Alloy starts the process off with a three-minute assessment. Then you receive your recommendations via email. You have the option to speak with someone on their team, but it’s not a requirement. I like that Evernow provides you with a little more guidance before you make your selections. For me, I really wanted to make sure that I was going to be using something that was effective but also safe.

Which Menopause HRT Is Better: Evernow or Alloy?

Both Alloy and Evernow are excellent options if you’re looking for convenient hormone replacement therapy for menopause-related symptoms. If you’re looking for a fast process that puts HRT into your hands within a few days, Alloy may be the better option for you. I’m happy to wait a little longer to make sure I’m starting the right treatment. In this case, Evernow is my favorite.

My Recommendations

I think it’s important for women to take their time when considering hormone replacement therapy for their menopause symptoms. Most women experience more than one or two symptoms during this transitional phase, which is why it can be challenging to find the right treatment option. If you have the opportunity, speak with someone from Alloy, Evernow or a different HRT provider. Let them know what your symptoms are, what your concerns are and what you’re hoping to get out of your treatment plan.

Alloy and Evernow are two very good brands that can help you get back to feeling like yourself.

the alloy synbiotic gut health

Alloy provides access to very effective and convenient option for anyone dealing with the often life-altering hormonal challenges that accompany transitioning into our perimenopause and menopausal years. For many women, seeking treatment for menopause has never been simple, easy, and straightforward, so they grin and bear it, suffering in silence.

Alloy is helping to make safe and effective menopause treatments more accessible to women everywhere. So whether you’re dealing with one or two nagging symptoms or you’re facing an onslaught of changes, Alloy can help match you with the right treatment for your specific needs.

Is Menopausal Hormone Treatment Safe?

Menopause hormone treatment, formerly known as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is considered a safe and effective treatment for many symptoms related to menopause. It’s important to note that the goal of menopausal hormone treatment is not to replace your hormones, but simply to use an adequate amount to treat the symptoms of menopause that a woman is facing.

In 2017, the North American Menopause Society published a position paper that states that MHT is safe and effective for the overwhelming majority of healthy menopausal women.

Does Alloy Accept Health Insurance?

Currently, it does not appear that Alloy accepts health insurance, therefore, all costs are the responsibility of the customer, however, Alloy’s pricing is very reasonable. The cost of your initial online medical assessment is just $30, but excitingly, they are currently waiving the fee for a limited time. Depending on the treatment option you choose, Alloy’s pricing ranges between $24.99 - $74.99 per month.

Plus, Alloy states that many women have been able to get their Alloy prescriptions reimbursed through their PPO insurance provider, FSA, or HSA by submitting their itemized receipt.

Real Alloy Menopause Reviews and Average Rating

Alloy does a great job of forming a tight-knit community of women who have used their products for menopause. There are sources on the internet that have customer reviews of alloy menopause products, and nearly all of them are extremely positive.

Most verified buyers have seen the benefits after the recommended amount of time taking the product. Like many supplements, these are not "quick fixes." However, if you stick with them, the formulation of each product is very powerful as alloy uses high-quality ingredients. After reading many reviews online, it's clear that many women over 40 appreciate the high-quality menopause products.

It's also worthy to note that myalloy.com is a certified pharmacy on LegitScript, which furthers their credibility even more.

Alloy Menopause Reddit Reviews

There are a few threads about Alloy Menopause on reddit. The main takeaways here are that women can't believe how convenient it is to do these visits from home and not have to go to their doctor. Many women are trying to figure out if Alloy is a credible brand to get started with, and, the answer is 100% yes, alloy is a legit and trustworthy brand to get menopause and perimenopause products online.

Alternatives

If you’re unsure if Alloy is the best fit for your unique menopause symptom-related needs, you have some other options to explore.

One of our favorite menopause brands to recommend is Winona menopause HRT. They offer plenty of prescription options at affordable pricing. The other brand is Evernow menopause HRT, which is very similar to Winona.

For a non-hormonal treatment that’s been proven to alleviate your most common menopause symptoms, MENO by OPositiv is a great choice. This menopause vitamin supplement contains a unique blend of natural ingredients that are specifically combined to provide you with hormone-free relief.

Phenology is another amazing resource for women facing menopause. Phenology takes a science-backed, holistic approach to understanding and managing menopause, placing deep value on your mind, your body, your beauty, and your time. You can choose from symptom-specific gummies, cooling mists, access to online coaching, and more.

Bonafide is another women's menopause brand that you may want to take a look at, but their products will not be as robust as Alloy.

As you can see, there are a few Alloy Menopause alternatives out there. However, I strongly believe Alloy Menopause is a superior product over the rest simply because of the fact that they are a menopause-specific brand.

Wrapping Up: Is Alloy Menopause Legit for Menopause Relief?

Alloy for Menopause is 100% legitimate for online prescription menopause relief. For the millions of women who enter menopause each year and deal with symptoms that cause pain, embarrassment, and discomfort, Alloy is giving them the chance to experience real relief that’s matched to their unique and specific needs.

After reviewing the brand, it’s evident that Alloy truly cares about empowering women to take action in their health journey and to speak up and seek the treatment they deserve for problems that are very much treatable. Why suffer through your menopausal years when professional, proven help is just a few clicks away?

Although I am not yet entering menopause, it’s a right of passage that we, as women, go through as we ag. I know that when my time comes, I will feel much more confident in seeking any symptom treatment I need knowing that there are options and resources like Alloy designed just for my situation.

Did it improve my libido? Find out everything you need to know!

Libido can ebb and flow. Having a stressful week at work can impact whether or not a person feels like they’re in the mood. A fight with your partner can also have an impact. For others, libido is something that can be affected by hormones and overall health. What do you do when your libido is low and affecting your sex life? Let’s talk about one option: Bonafide Ristela. I want to tell you all about my experience with this product, including its active ingredients, what it costs and what you can expect.

Ristela is Heating Up!

The Hot Takes

  • This is a hormone-free supplement designed to help women increase their libido.
  • Two antioxidants are the active ingredients in Ristela. Also included are pine bark extract and rose hips.
  • This isn’t a fast-acting supplement. You’ll need to use it regularly to see results.
  • It can take two months for Bonafide Ristela to work.
  • Ristela’s formula is scientifically tested.
  • Affordable, priced at under $60 per box (one-time purchase).

Choose Ristela if…

  • You are a female who has been experiencing low libido without any obvious causes.
  • You’re looking for a non-hormonal option for increasing your sex drive.

Don't Choose Ristela if…

  • You are already taking another supplement or medication designed to boost your libido.

What Are Some Ristela Alternatives to Consider?

There are other options available that can improve your libido similarly to how Ristela works. This includes:

Winona Blossom (HRT)

Blossom by Winona is a prescription cream that increases blood flow to the vagina and increases lubrication. The main ingredient is Sildenafil, which is found in Viagra. It’s unscented and hypoallergenic, providing you with a safe way to improve your sex life.

Alloy O-mazing Cream(HRT)

O-mazing Cream by Alloy is prescription-based and includes Sildenafil to increase blood flow and improve lubrication. This heightens the sensations that you experience during sex. Also included are pentoxifylline for increased blood flow and ergoloid mesylate to stimulate neurotransmitters related to sex drive.

Interlude (HRT)

Interlude offers hormone replacement therapy that can improve your vaginal health and libido. This includes their Vaginal Estradiol Cream, Vaginal Estradiol Suppositories and more. These products can address issues that may be contributing to your low libido, such as vaginal dryness, itching, burning, recurring urinary tract infections and the urgency to pee.

Inno Drive for Her (Supplement)

This product is designed to balance your hormone levels in order to improve your sexual health. Inno Drive for Her is based on a collection of B vitamins, in addition to a few proprietary blends that contain ingredients such as ashwagandha, ginseng, asparagus root, green tea extract and collard leaf powder. These ingredients also enhance circulation in the body and support healthy stress levels.

RGN Health Boost for Women (Supplement)

Boost is a collection of natural aphrodisiacs that quickly boost your libido. Ingredients include ginger, horny goat weed, gingko biloba and dong quai. This isn’t a supplement that has to be taken for many weeks in order to work. Many people see results in as little as 20 minutes.

My Experience With Ristela (Review)

ristela by bonafide and capsules

Ristela was a product that I wanted to try because of how safe and natural it seemed. I have taken other hormone-based products to help with perimenopause symptoms and wanted to stick with something simpler for libido. I started taking Ristela and didn’t notice much of an improvement in my libido for the first few weeks. I would say it was around week 5 that a noticeable change occurred.

Saving Money by Ordering on Hello Bonafide’s Website

If you order Ristela directly from the Hello Bonafide website, the price is $57 for a one-time purchase of a single box. Signing up for the monthly plan brings the cost to $47 per month. You can also sign up for a three-month plan, which brings the cost down even further to $42 per month.

When Did I Take Ristela?

ristela with capsules

It’s recommended that you take your Ristella dose daily and at the same time every day. I personally chose to take it in the afternoon, but you can decide what works best for you. I have other supplements and products that I use first thing in the morning, and I wanted to take Ristela on its own.

Did It Improve My Libido?

By the two-month point, I noticed I became aroused easier, I would get in the mood on my own a lot more often and I was experiencing better lubrication and vaginal health. It would be nice if this was a faster-acting supplement that could be taken when you needed it, but sometimes time is needed for a dramatic change in one’s health and healing.

Will I Be Purchasing Ristela Again?

I continue to use Ristela, though I have taken a break from it here and there. However, I will absolutely continue to purchase and use Ristela if I feel like I’m in a slump with my libido. For me, stress and overall health are the first things to impact my sex life. There are definitely times when I feel calm and healthy. Ristela probably isn’t needed at these points.

Would I Recommend Ristela to a Menopausal Friend?

Menopause can be such a confusing time. With so many different changes that occur in the body and mind, it’s tough to know where to start with treating your symptoms. In regard to low libido, I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend who confided in me about their issues. My experience has been very safe and pleasant, with no side effects to report (other than a better sex life!).

What is Ristela by Bonafide?

Ristela is a hormone-free support for a low libido. It’s geared towards women, providing the opportunity to enhance sexual stimulation using French maritime pine bark extract, rose hips and the amino acids L-arginine and L-citrullin. It can take about eight weeks to see the full results that Ristela can provide, so don’t confuse this supplement with other on-demand products. Past the eight-week point, many people will see continued improvement.

How Much Does Bonafide Ristela Cost?

When ordering directly from the Hello Bonafide website, Ristela costs $57 for a one-time purchase. You also have the option to sign up for a monthly delivery plan, which brings the cost to $47 per month. There is also a three-month plan, and the cost is $42 per month.

What Are the Active Ingredients in Ristela?

The main ingredients in Ristela are French maritime pine bark extract, rose hips and the amino acids L-arginine and L-citrullin.

Does Ristela Cause Weight Gain?

Theoretically, Ristela shouldn’t cause any substantial weight gain. Its formula isn’t based on hormones, and the main ingredients aren’t known for causing weight gain. However, some reviews express a little bit of bloating occurring when first starting this supplement. That bloat could lead to a couple of extra pounds of weight, depending on your body type and what you experience.

Can Ristela Help With Weight Loss?

There is some initial information out there that suggests pine bark extract may be beneficial for treating insulin resistance, abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism and hypertension. Addressing these concerns may put you in a position where you can lose weight more effectively.

Are There Any Side Effects Associated With Taking Ristela?

In general, Ristela is very well tolerated. There are some reports of this product causing very minor symptoms, such as nausea, headache or stomach issues. If you experience any of these side effects, it’s a good idea to stop using Ristela and talk to your doctor about what you have experienced. However, this supplement is very natural and safe.

Final Thoughts

Low libido is something that can affect your sex life, your relationship and even your mental health. Unfortunately, there are a number of factors that can contribute to low libido, including stress, illness, hormones, menopause, etc. This isn’t an issue that should be ignored or simply accepted. There are very safe options available that can help improve your libido and even address vaginal symptoms that may also be contributing to your concerns.

My Recommendations

Ristela is a reputable product that I have found to be very effective for my own issues with low libido. I love that it’s hormone-free and based on natural ingredients. I recommend that you do some research on Ristela to see if it’s an option for your low-libido symptoms. If you’re concerned with its ingredients or potential interactions with other products or prescriptions that you’re using, you can consult with your doctor before taking Ristela.

In many cases, you don’t have to turn to hormone replacement therapy for relief. There are natural, plant-based alternatives that can be just as effective. Let’s take a look at Relizen and Equelle. We’ll compare what they include, how they work and which one we think is the better option for your symptoms.

Taking a Look at Relizen for Menopause Relief

Relizen menopause product facts

Relizen, made by Bonafide Health, is a unique menopause supplement that is made using pollen extract. It can address a number of symptoms, such as poor temperature regulation, sweating, mood changes, weight gain and sleep quality. This highly purified flower pollen extract can impact your serotonin levels in addition to balancing your hormones. That means you’ll be able to ward off some of those menopause-related mood swings and irritability.

What Ingredients Make Relizen Good?

Relizen is formulated with purified flower pollen extract (Pollen + Pistil Extract PI-82, and Pollen Extract GC-FEM). Highly studied, this extract can balance levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body. Fluctuations and deficiencies in these levels are what typically cause menopause symptoms.

My Experience Taking Relizen

Temperature regulation issues were one of the first symptoms I experienced when I was perimenopausal. I would experience hot flashes during the day that would stop me in my tracks. At night, I’d wake up soaked in sweat. For obvious reasons, I wasn’t sleeping well.

A friend of mine who had gone through menopause recommended that I try Relizen. I figured it was worth a shot, seeing as how it wasn’t a hormone-based therapy. It sounded very safe, so I placed an order.

Once I started taking Relizen, I didn’t really see results right away. I noticed a bit of a difference in my body temperature regulation after approximately four weeks of taking Relizen. My daytime hot flashes were the first to improve, with the nighttime sweats following a few weeks later. I noticed a slight shift in my mood swings, but that wasn’t as prevalent as the temperature regulation.

What I Liked About Relizen

  • I love that this is a hormone-free option for menopause-related symptoms. I was ready to try something like this rather than have to contemplate heading down the path of HRT.

What Could Be Improved

  • It would be nice if Relizen had the potential to improve a lot more menopause symptoms. For me, it worked for what I was experiencing at the moment. However, symptoms can change as you progress through this transitional phase in life.

Taking a Look at Equelle for Menopause Relief

Equelle is based on the soy-derived ingredient S-equol. It has been thoroughly studied, proving not to cause cancer or have negative effects on endometrial health. By mimicking estrogen in the body, Equelle menopause symptoms will decrease. It’s typically the decrease in estrogen that leads to issues. Binding mainly to beta receptors, Equelle is very safe yet effective.

What Ingredients Make Equelle Good?

Equelle is made from S-equol, which comes from soy. This compound has been studied for over 40 years. It has a similar composition as estrogen, mimicking its effects on the body without causing any dangerous side effects. Only traces of soy are left behind after the manufacturing process is complete.

My Experience Taking Equelle

Equelle struck me as being a very safe supplement when I first saw it. I consume soy-based products on a regular basis, so I didn’t think twice about something that was formulated using soy. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it out, so I placed an order for Equelle.

The time line is about the same as in Relizen. I saw some results in about one month, though it can take up to three months to see its full benefits. The first change I saw was in my vaginal health. I was experiencing a little irritation off and on, but that disappeared after using Equelle for about one month.

There was a slight shift in my temperature regulation by halfway through month two. It wasn’t as noticeable as when I tried Relizen, though.

What I Liked About Equelle

  • I love how natural the active ingredient is. I didn’t worry about how this supplement would affect me, since soy is something I know I can tolerate with ease.
  • Equelle is very gentle, so I didn’t notice any side effects. Even after taking it for a few months, there wasn’t anything worrisome going on.

What Could Be Improved

  • A minimal number of symptoms can be addressed with Equelle. Even though it was designed to mimic the effects of estrogen, I didn’t really find that it dramatically impacted my mood, headaches, fatigue, etc.

Comparison Section of Equelle vs. Relizen

Not sure which menopause treatment to choose? Let’s compare Equelle and Relizen.

Comparing Formulas

In regard to formula, Equelle and Relizen are quite different. While they target a lot of the same symptoms, like hot flashes, night sweats and trouble sleeping, they use different methods to get there. Relizen utilizes pollen extract as its main ingredient. Equelle mimics the functions of estrogen by way of S-equol derived from soy.

Both products have some other additional ingredients that contribute to how they are made and hold up over time, but no other active ingredients are inside.

Comparing Price

The current cost of Relizen is $57 for a single box. Because you should be taking Relizen for at least three months to see if it’s going to be effective for your menopause symptoms, you may want to invest in the three-month plan. This drops the cost to $37. If you sign up for a monthly subscription, the cost is $41 per month.

Equelle costs $50 for a one-time purchase. The cost is $40 if you sign up for the auto-replenish feature.

Comparing Efficacy

Speaking from experience, I found that Relizen was the more effective product. It provided me with more substantial benefits in a shorter amount of time. While Equelle did work after a number of weeks, the benefits weren’t as significant or noticeable.

Both products have good reviews on their websites. Neither seems to result in any unpleasant or dangerous side effects.

What Are the Main Differences Between Relizen and Equelle?

The main ingredients being used for these two products stand out as having the most noticeable difference. Relizen’s pollen extract, according to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, has been well studied in different settings. Both Bonafide and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center claim that pollen extract can significantly reduce hot flashes and night sweats.

Equelle, based on S-equol from soy, relieves menopause-related symptoms by mimicking estrogen. Many women may find that Equelle is a slightly milder approach when addressing changes during perimenopause and menopause.

Relizen mentions on their website that you may see a change in the amount of fatigue that you experience when taking their supplement. While Equelle mentions better sleep quality, they don’t talk about reduced fatigue during the day.

Final Thoughts and Next Steps

There’s no need to suffer through perimenopause and menopause. There are a lot of options available that address commonly experienced symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats and disturbed sleep. Relizen and Equelle are two excellent products that have provided me with results in the past. There are many positive reviews stating other women have experienced the same.

After considering the symptoms that you’re experiencing, think about which of these products may work best for your scenario. I found Relizen to be more effective in a shorter amount of time, but generally, they are expected to work by the three-month point.
